ANNUEL • Black 38mm

Meaning "counter", the Quantième collection embodies our desire to elevate the standards for complicated calendars and future complications. Therefore the user experience has been paramount throughout the entire design process; and after two years of intensive development we were able to come up with a set of technical solutions, that we believe can be game-changing for collectors, such as:

• Sequenced information & enlarged apertures for improved readability on the dial.

• Quick set procedure & break-proof safety mechanism for ease of use.

• Steel layer concept > a set of 6 components that can be individually replaced to protect the case.

Presented here in its glossy lacquered black execution, we like to believe that our new Annual Calendar will finally allow collectors to enjoy sophisticated watchmaking on a daily basis, without the usual hassles and worries that come with it.

CALIBRE 595

In order to be able to sequence the information on the dial, our calibre 595 features a unique "cross architecture", in the form of a double regulator (one for the time and the other for the calendar) consisting of 4 instantaneous jumping apertures, 2 swiping hands and 1 retrograde date.

Energy storage and consumption has been a real challenge for this project, as in some cases (such as midnight on December 31st) all five jumps occur simultaneously.

This requires a double barrel and a construction in which the movement stores energy in 4 different places (over the course of 12H, 24H, 7 days and 31 days) to activate the various jumps without impacting the amplitude of the movement.

CASING

Our Quantième collection is the most complicated casing construction we’ve ever developed. Based on a platinum Pt950 core case, it integrates our new steel layer concept, as well as a crown activated officer case back mechanism.

Steel layer
To overcome the weaknesses of platinum (easily scratched but tedious to repair), our Quantième collection features our new steel layer concept, which involves applying a thin layer of 904L steel to a Pt950 platinum case in order to significantly increase its longevity. This layer is composed of six distinct components, all removable and replaceable throughout the life of the piece.

Officer case back
The officer's case back originates from pocket watches and serves several purposes.
• It protects the movement from direct impacts.
• It preserves the movement's lubrication by protecting it from UV rays.
• It can be engraved by or for the owner.

QUALITY STANDARDS

In a desire to take no shortcuts, we have set ourselves a set of demanding standards. They allow us to offer not only high quality timepieces, but also the service that goes with them for a well rounded experience over time.

Going beyond ‘Swiss made’ label
While the ‘Swiss made’ label only requires 60% of components to be made in Switzerland, we manufacture all our components in the cantons of Neuchâtel and Jura, supporting the local economy.
Individual number
With a production of 24 pieces per year and per dial color, each piece carries its own unique case number.
Matching numbers
Each metal variant has its own nomenclature, which offers the possibility of having a set with matching numbers.
Warranty
2 years, under terms and conditions.
Maintenance
Service intervals can go from 5 up to 10 years depending on use. Service can be carried out by your experienced & trusted local watchmaker (once we have sent a spare parts kit), or directly by us in Switzerland.
