Trained in industrial design, Sylvain was scouted by BMW, where he began his career as a working student at the age of 19, before spending several years there as a designer.
Always full of ideas, he then set up his own design and prototyping company with his brother, creating exceptional models for private clients and renown brands such as BMW, Ducati and MV Agusta. In just a few years, their work has received considerable attention from the industry and the press.
After a few consecutive freelance design missions with the Richemont Group, his path branched off into watchmaking, as a full-time designer, in 2014. He put his fresh eye for this sector to good use, as well as an acute attention to detail and a solid ability to develop objects with strong technical constraints.
Currently Chief Product Officer at Breitling, Academy Member of the GPHG, Sylvain continues to develop technical and industrial knowledge, playing an active role in the watchmaking industry as well as in collectors community.
As a meticulous, hard-working creative, he initiated in 2022 a brand under his own name with the willingness to work without compromise, pushing the boundaries and looking forward, always with obsessive passion.
SYLVAIN BERNERON
After a double degree in a major Business School, Marie-Alix worked for several years in the luxury goods sector, in particular at Chanel Horlogerie in product development, being passionate about the spirit of excellence, the aesthetic research and the perpetuation of know-how specific to this universe.
Her interest for major societal issues as well as her creative sensitivity recently led her to retrain as an architect. She now thrives in this extremely rich and wide-ranging field, in dialogue with so many other disciplines. In a broader sense, it’s also about the way we inhabit the world… Extremely sensitive to her living environment, she always keeps an eye out for the wonders of everyday life, inspiring encounters or poetic contemplation.
Curious, multi-talented, a jack-of-all-trades, Marie-Alix loves to make things with her hands. She is along with Sylvain a sports and great outdoors enthusiast; they are both fascinated by the intelligence of the plant and animal kingdom in its subtle balance.
Marie-Alix supports Sylvain in the development of Berneron, discussing graphics, design or brand vision, happy to make a side contribution to the edifice.
