Caliber 283
We chose a new approach for the creation of our fourth caliber, the Cal. 283, and this is where the "Miroir" designation comes from. Unlike traditional skeletonization or reversal, we opted for a different path by creating an entirely new mirrored movement, echoing the original design of the Calibre 233. The sector guilloché pattern on the movement serves as a marker for reading the hours, much like a classic dial. Voluntarily omitting a seconds counter to maximize the openwork design, the seconds wheel will act as a running indicator through its own rotation.
Rare are the extra-thin movements that can perform.
A SINGULAR FINESSE
Developing and producing an extra-thin movement in 18K gold is a technical challenge.
It took 18 months of technical development to significantly refine the movement's structure and achieve the mirrored architecture within a thickness of 2.83 mm.
BESPOKE COMPLICATION
The calibers 233 and 283 feature a special complication, a reversed handset.
With the minute hand seating under the hour hand, the glass profile can drop sooner on the bezel, resulting in thinness gain of 15% on the case profile. A significant improvement in terms of ergonomics, with the watch fitting more snugly on the wrist.
This complication also offers a better legibility on the dial, as the minute hand no longer overlaps the hour one.
FULL-GOLD CONSTRUCTION
We opted for an all-gold construction, which we believe embodies uncompromising elegance. As far as the movement is concerned, all compatible components (main plate and bridges) are made out of 18K gold. The winding and timing gears are made of steel for reasons of rigidity and torque.
